Monday: Last P day in Udon Thani! It was fun... We got to have family home at Sister Gaew's house.. That was fun to do that one last time. แม่หวาน and her brother, bro Siitaay called me that evening... After finding out that i'd be leaving Udon. And said that she would wanted to be baptized before I left so that I would be there to see it. That touched my heart. She said she would be signing her marriage certificate  on Wednesday morning. <3 span="">

Tuesday: Packed a little.. Taught a little.. Said good bye a little. Last district meeting today. I am going to miss these people. Brother Siitaay called us at least 4-5 times because he was so stressed about his sister's baptism.. Wanting to make sure everything was perfect. <3 precious.="" so="" span="">

Wednesday: Packed in the morning! Got to go to Under the Tree with sweet Sister Gaew and my sisters. So fun. Did more packing... And then... Really my last day in Udon was the perfect finale.. We got to see sweet แม่หวาน baptized! She originally had the date for the Sunday before but did not have a signed marriage certificate so we had to postpone it to the following Sunday.. But then upon her hearing that I would be leaving she requested her baptismal day be set before I left so that I would be able to see her get baptized. That really touched me. I had been teaching her with Sister Olsen for two whole transfers.. And had seen her grow so much in that time. It was a miracle to see her life completely change. She was so happy and full of light. It was hard to hold back tears to see her go from being someone so afraid of everything; especially people, to being someone surrounded by a new family and completely beaming. I love her very much. So grateful to be a missionary.

And then.... We loaded up my bags and bike got on the Nakhonchai air bus and leeeffft. :/

Thursday: T R A N S F E R S said goodbye to my sweet Sister Olsen and Udon and said hello to Sister Beckstrand and Bang Khae บางแค! I am back in Bangkok! I am in the Bangkok West Zone.. I am really close to Asoke! Before when I was in Bangkok I was in Saphansuung.

The church here looks like the Kirkland temple. It is huge. AND SO NICE. Definitely nicer than any church I have ever been in... Including those in America.

Sister Beckstrand so far gets an A+ :) She is like the same person as Aunt Nana! So that's fun :) She came in the same group as Sister Olsen!

@ the transfer meeting meeting she sat on the "dying" missionary couches. Because President Johnson didn't know these missionaries very well he asked their companions to come up and give a few words. I stood and told everyone stories about Sumittra and how much I loved her! Ah I am so sad she is dying! She is an incredible missionary.. This morning in my email she had sent this:

"I need to bear my testimony for last week I had a wonderful time with the transfers
I'm so sad that i just have 3 weeks before finish mission.I can't explain about my feeling.I loved a missionary work and I'm a missionary forever but I'm very sad I will finish a full time missionary.I never think about that before It's weird!!!! When I sit on the sofa ( sofa for คนที่จบ) I felt It's not true and when I listed to all my companions said something about me It's made me cried so bad! Their word touched my heart. I love them I love all my companions I love all missionary:) I'm very grateful for opportunity to be a missionary. It's change my life.It was the best experience in my life. I can't forget!"

Friday: Explored Bang Khae. So different from Udon.

In my district there are only us two sisters! And SIX Elders! One of which is Elder Sukkan! He is in our stake! His mom was the one that was so kind to me when I went to the Thai/Laos ward for the first time. I am way excited to serve with him! He and Elder Lodwick are the Zone Leaders.. They had 3 baptisms on Sunday. And then Elder Taylor and ChuChiophum also had a baptism! The district leader is Elder Martindale! He was my Phii in the MTC.. Meaning one group ahead of me... And his companion is Elder Tew! Patricia Potts nephew! So that's fun. :) This is going to be one interesting transfer! :) It has been interesting to think of why Heavenly Father might've needed me to be here. What do I need to learn? And who will I help? Forward pushing forward.

Saturday: I can't even remember anything that happened.... Minus the fact that I forgot what it was like to have to walk everywhere and not have a bike.... :( My legs!!!... but it's good too.. We get to invite some way good people every day. We have so solid daters! I am excited to see the miracles from this transfer!

Sunday: Bang Khae only has one branch...So afterwords it was weird trying to fill the day! But good. :) Got to bear my testimony in sacrament meeting! It was cool to hear the progression in my Thai in the sacrament meetings that have gone by... I definitely did not sound like that when I first got to Udon.. Or Saphansuung. The Gift of Tongues is a real thing my friends. God is real and is mindful of all his children.

Something crazy since being here: We taught a Burmese monk.

Emailing. Here's how nice our church is.. Right now we are emailing from the WAY HI SO computers in the church. With AC..... Oh มีความสุก.

Prayers for Udon and Bang Khae would be greatly appreciated. :)
I love you all.

I love being a missionary.
Love,
Sister Coats

Hi all,

I hope that you have had a wonderful week.

We experienced a miracle this week. We had a man that just walked into the church as we had our Priesthood class. He said that he was not coming any further with his church and he wants to change his life. A friend of his a while back gave him a Book of Mormon and he has had some other experiences with the church. We are actually going to meet with him today.

We found an investigator from Mali in our area book. We had a lesson, but we had to use the Ipads because he speaks almost only French. The biggest problem was, is that the translating app does not understand African French. We had him speak into it and it just came out with hilarious gibberish at the other end. My companion was successful in keeping a straight face, but I busted out laughing as he was responding to the question, "What does Christ mean to you?" It was bad. At the end of our lesson, one of the primary girls came in, who spoke French, and translated some of his answers back to us. He is really interested. The biggest problem is his friend. Mostly when we call him, he gives the phone to his friend who is fluent in English, is controlling, and doesn't want his friend to learn the Gospel. We're working on it though.

We had three investigators at church. That was probably the most I have had at any one time on my mission. It was way cool.

I know that this church is true, and that it was restored. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is a foundation in coming to full faith. I know that we can make covenants with our Father and they last through eternity. Christ is the Savior of every man, woman, and child. I know that he will never forget us and that his hands are stretched out, always willing to forgive.

Elder Draper

But, behold, Zion hath said: The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me—but he will show that he hath not.
For can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, O house of Israel.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Chelsea Strong makes a difference in the Community and on behalf of Carson Ross

Chelsea Stong makes a difference in the community!

Carson Ross' 1st grade teacher, Vangee Watts, who is in our Stake received an award from Zions bank as an outstanding teacher, Chelsea Strong nominated her for her hard work and dedication, especially in making sure Carson doesn't fall behind in school.  After she prepares her lessons for the following day, and closes up the classroom, she goes to the Ross home to instruct Carson.  They interviewed her on the radio and she said that she loves it when Carson can come to school. - This was on the radio

An  Answer to his prayer:  One cold afternoon Brother Greg Buckaway noticed Bishop Steve Higgs at work  chipping away the ice from a neighbor's sidewalk.  Greg asked Steve if he needed some help.  Steve "warmed up" to that idea in a hurry.  Soon Greg, Steve and others joined in the effort.  It was then that Bishop Higgs quietly explained to Greg that right before his arrival he had been praying for someone to help.

MISSIONARY MOMENTS

Here comes Elder Tanner Jorgensen!!
Dear Elder Jorgensen,
I know the people of Milwaukee, Wisconsin will feel blessed to have someone as amazing as you to teach them of the amazing gospel of Jesus Christ!  - Allyse Jorgensen

Hello from Elder Dylan Draper in Germany:

From Dylan Draper:
Subject: Mission Update

The wonderful zone leaders in district Teargarten had TWO BAPTISMS. It was super exciting. I was privelaged to take part in the teaching of these two newest members. Their names are Naomi and Orn. They are just wonderful. The spirit was way strong at their baptism and an investigator of ours came as well.

We are still waiting on the ipads. I am not sure how much longer it should take, but we'll see. It will be exciting how much work we will be able to do.

My companion is wonderful and incredibly funny.

I haven't got much time and I am kind of in a smokey internet cafe, so I wish you all the best.

It is increadible to be a missionary. I could not imagine how else I would be learning what I am able to learn right now. It is hard sometimes. We try to help others, but they don't want to help themselves sometimes. I have found out that the Lord has his purposes for every last thing that we go through. He knows exactly what we have to do to become more like him. He has it all planned. I know that he loves us and sent his Son. He is a God of grace, mercy, and love. I know that he hears my prayers and he changes me. I know that he can make us strong when we pray and look to him at every moment.

And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow inthe knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.

Hello Everyone
The work in Berlin is going wonderfully. Here are a few things that happened this week.
The day of ruined clothing
We went to go help some less active members build a couch after an emergency call in the morning telling us that they had nowhere to sit. Naturally we went straight over there and began. We did some work, but we eventually had to go because of some appointments. We planned to come back later in the day. After our appointment, we went to get some lunch. I bought a shawarma sandwich. We had to get on the train to go a couple stops, so I could not eat my sandwich immediately (eating is not allowed on the u bahn). As we were arriving, my companion pointed out that I was holding it all to close to my stomach. I got covered in grease. It soaked through my pants, tie, and shirt. We had to go back and change. After this, we went to our service project again. The appartment was super dusty, and I mean desert dusty. Anyway, after the complicated process of building a simple couch, my grey pants had turned white. I had to change again before we went to our next appointment.
We had another couple guys tell us that we were of the devil and so is America. This is starting to be a more regular occurance lately. They told us that the devil was trying to trick us buy making us feel good and doing good deeds.
Zoo
One of the lions got really angry and started roaring at the tourists. Super cool... Elder Glissmeyer feeding the birds sunflower seeds, even though I told him it was a terrible idea.
Potsdam Palace
We were able to switch some P-day time to visit Potsdam with a new convert. It was super cool and huge. There are four palaces there. (see pictures)
We have some wonderful new members here. There is one family in particular that I really love. Especially because of their son, Berti. They are way active and always listen and learn.
Anyway... I am running out ouf time.
I know that this church is true. I know that Christ is at the head of it. All that he has ever given or taught is for our benefit. He seeks only this. His mission is actually ours. To return to our Father. I have seen His help. I know that H-e will work for and with us.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
