FROM ELDER DRAPER
Hi all,
I hope that your week was wonderful.
In case I have not said so already. Here are some things about
Neukölln. My companion is Elder Clemens. He is from Kentucky, he likes
having a beard, and having two tablets and a staff in his hand, and
writing the Ten Commandments. He loves racquet ball. The population
here is like 90 percent Muslim (not a bad thing). The ward is awesome,
very involved with the work.
Anyway,
I would just like to share a miracle that happened this week, that
made me realize how important it is to recognize opportunities to
serve. We were helping a man move out of his parents' home. They
invited us to have dinner with them. We decided to use this time to
share one of the videos that the church produced. They felt the spirit
and opened up for one of the very first times. We ended up leaving a
couple things of ours there (bread, meat, mayonnaise.) They called us
and told us that we could come pick these things up. We did and we
ended up teaching them the first lesson. The wife was very interested
and opened up in a way that her son did not even know of. Sadly the
husband called and told us that we should not go back.
It was still a great chance for her to feel the Spirit and to feel the
love of the Lord. I am grateful to be at any part in this process. It
is still the Lords work. I do not know exactly the Lord's plan for
these people, but I know that he prepares them. I know that the Savior
lives, and that he has prayed for us. I know that he had the power of
God to heal people and work miracles. I know that he can heal us. He
has this power and he is the Healer. I know that this church contains
the fullness of the everlasting gospel and that when one applies it's
teachings, he can return to God. I know that he has a plan and that it
is magnificent and there are wonderful blessings on store because of
it.
And now Father, I pray unto thee for them, and also for all those who
shall believe on their words, that they may believe in me, that I may
be in them as thou, Father, art in me, that we may be one. 3 Nephi

Hi Family&Friends,
I hope you are all having a great week. Dylan is now in an area called Neukolin, he was transferred 2 weeks ago, but it seems life is still good.
Have a great week!

Hello all,
I really have to excuse myself again. The email time has just gotten away from me.
Anyway,
The investigators are doing wonderfully. We are seeing so much progress. The Lord is really helping his children.
We have a wonderful ward here. I think that I have said that already, but they just are. They work with us and they are always happy to help and recognise why we are there.
I can't believe that I have been in Berlin for so long. It seems like I just first got here. It is a new experience every day. Some are bad and some are good. I definately am learning and learning how to learn. I realized something this week that I needed to learn a little bit better. I saw that every issue and trial can be solved in the docterine of Christ. It is really true. Through faith in him, we believe and learn that he really can do anything. We see how he can transform us. This leads us almost naturally to repent. This is something that is often painful. Being mortal, we like to stay where we are at. We think we are happy and we have peace, but it can be so much more. Perhaps this is why we have trials. After we change, we have to renew our covenants to give our best to the Lord. Then we don't turn back. We will have the Spirit to warn and gently guide us in all of our efforts to become like God. I have learned this way. There is definately an Eternal Father. I know that His son makes it possible to return to Him. He loves us so much and has a plan. We can all have and enjoy His blessings.

i all,
This week has just flown by.
We had an awesome activity in the ward. It was all organized by
member, who is a return missionary. It was a musical evening, that
followed the story of a teenager who was having some struggles. Her
sister was comforting her and teaching her the doctrine of Christ. The
numbers provided the music. I was able to play my violin with the
primary. There was about 220 people that showed up. About one third of
them were non members. We provided tons of cards and pamphlets about
the doctrine of Christ. All of the people that came loved this
activity. Many asked when we were going to have a next one.
These members are just awesome. The ward mission leader give you €100
to go buy two new pairs of shoes, even though I just got a new pair.
They are super awesome and love the missionaries.
And also a leadership training meeting, I learned a lot.
I would just like to say how much I love this gospel. I love the
people in the church that are so ready and willing to help. They
really understand what charity is all about. I am glad to teach of the
Savior. This has been most important in my journey to become more like
him. He was really the perfect example in everything. All that needs
to be done or required is exactly what he did. He was the master of
teaching and showing. He really did and does love us. This is evident
in every record and experience that we have from him. He really did
restore His church through the prophet Joseph Smith. We have a solid
foundation of revelation, that can help us to govern our acts and
influence others. I know that He is the key and the answer to all of
our questions. I am positive that he lives. There is absolutely
nothing that could shake me from this knowledge.
I love you all,
Elder Draper
